With Indonesian investors and the Algerian Bellara group, ICP has promoted the creation of the World Trade Innovation investment vehicle, in order to seek business opportunities in Spain.
This Spanish company with foreign capital focuses mainly on investments in the tourism sector (acquisition of hotels, tourist apartment buildings, urbanizations…) and in the energy sector, where it has focused on renewables and, especially, on the photovoltaic. He also values entering the agricultural and agri-food business, as well as the import and export of food products.
World Trade Innovation currently has its headquarters in Alicante, although it plans to move it to Madrid in just a few months. Actually, it has assets worth 500 million euros in the study phase; but this figure will increase depending on the returns on investment. Next to the Spanish national one, the Portuguese market has also being analyzed in order to invest in the previously mentioned sectors.
